Me and My Art
Hi, as you can see I am very passionate about art. Sculpture is my first love and is followed by painting and photography. The artists who inspire me are; of the old masters, Rodin, Brancusi, Monet, Picasso, and Giacometti to name but a few. The contemporaries are Sarah Lucas, Rebecca Warren, and Lisa Lou.
At present I am working on an instillation, consisting of a 2 foot cube with a 1 foot cube inside that is a kitchen made to look wobbly. The units, white goods, walls, and ceiling is made out of foam. The floor is made out of a metal material. There is a window included which is made out of wool, knitted by myself, and is of waves breaking on the sand. Also, I have made an ironing board made of beads and a little human figure made out of string to look like it is surfing the waves.
I am at present building my own business an this website. Also, am planning to continue in education and make art on a full time basis. I am going to network, apply for funding and grants and find a studio for myself to work in.
